Kyran Thompson opened the scoring just two minutes in at LCFC Training Ground for the Magpies, who led until the 50th minute when James Quinn restored parity for our youngsters with his second of the season.

Although a tight affair up until that point, a hat-trick from Newcastle forward Alfie Hutchinson, netting in the 56th, 60th and 78th minute, ultimately made it a comfortable result for the visitors in Seagrave.

This is our U18s' first defeat of the season after draws with Middlesbrough in the U18 and Bournemouth in the PL Cup, both away from home, as the young Foxes now turn attention to a trip to Leeds United on Saturday (12pm BST kick-off).
