We’re just three games into the Sky Bet League One season, but still awaiting a maiden three points, after Saturday’s 0-0 draw at MK Dons.

The Foxes were dominant throughout, hitting the woodwork twice, and playing much of the game in the attacking third, but the home side held firm for a point.

It was a frustrating outcome for City, in front of nearly 6,000 travelling fans in Buckinghamshire, although Martin remains upbeat that performances will turn into points quickly.

We entertain Plymouth at King Power Stadium in a 7:45pm BST kick-off, with the Pilgrims so far collecting four points from their opening three games, defeating Bradford City 2-0 on home soil last time out over the weekend.

Martin, though, pointed to the displays against both MK Dons and Ipswich Town earlier in the week, in the Carabao Cup, as reason for confidence ahead of this next test.

“There's a level of performance and energy and effort that we've had the last couple of games,” the Manager said. “We have to live there all the time. And if we do, we'll win a lot of football games, and we have to bring that on Tuesday.”

“If we bring this level of performance, we'll have a big chance to have a really good evening.”

Delivering a positive performance for the Blue Army is high on Martin’s agenda, who’s hoping to build a ‘powerful’ atmosphere on Filbert Way across 26/27.

“We need to energise the home crowd, and I think we energised the crowd [at MK Dons], they were fantastic,” he added.

“They gave the energy back to the team. They were a bit frustrated at the end, but like I said, it's been a difficult few years, so I understand it.

“But to Tuesday, together, with the team, if we play with this energy, with the crowd, it'll be really powerful for us. The energy is there, the effort is there, the aggression, the intensity, the bravery to play is there. The best will come, the results will follow.”
