Leicester City legends Steve Walsh and Matt Elliott lend a hand, serving Christmas dinner, at the Falcon Centre
The facility in Loughborough aims to promote the dignity of vulnerable people, providing support to our communities for over 20 years
The iconic former Foxes duo also handed out presents from LCFC

Walsh and Elliott, who between them have over 700 Foxes appearances to their name, are well known to participants from the Falcon Centre, previously visiting the Loughborough-based group to deliver coaching sessions.

The Falcon Centre has supported our communities for over 20 years, helping them move towards stability and independence after facing challenges including financial hardship, mental health issues, homelessness or social isolation.

Falcon Support Services aim to promote the dignity of vulnerable people, restore physical and mental wellbeing, including substance misuse support, and to provide high quality, stable, supportive environments during their transition to independence.

Providing emergency accommodation and intensive 24/7 care, the centre in Loughborough also offers help with recovery services, community drop-ins, and supported housing across the region. They also assist vulnerable people in developing the social and life skills necessary to plan and prepare for their futures, enabling them to integrate into the local community.

Christmas can be a hard time for some, so to help out this month, Walshy and Matty were on hand to serve Christmas dinner and hand out LCFC gifts, all while mingling with those being supported by the Falcon Centre and celebrating the festive season.

Elliott said: “It’s been a privilege to come down to see the guys again and share a bit of Christmas spirit. Walshy and I have built a rapport with both the staff and the participants, so it’s a pleasure to be here to celebrate the festive season with them all.

“They do brilliant work at the Falcon Centre, so anything we can do to lend a hand, we’ll be there to do so. We had good fun with everyone and usually, wherever there’s free food, you’ll find me lurking around, but in all seriousness, it was brilliant to be here to represent the Club and support the fantastic work of the Falcon Centre.”
