Leicester Hospitals Charity to be celebrated at King Power Stadium
Funds to be raised for new state-of-the-art neonatal technology

Funds raised on matchday will go towards supporting cutting-edge neonatal technology at Leicester Royal Infirmary, including a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner and 4D probe, offering faster and more precise diagnostics for premature and seriously ill babies.

We’ll be welcoming staff and volunteers from the charity to Filbert Way to recognise their incredible work, and to fundraise for the Give Big For Little Hearts campaign.

Here’s how you can help the cause on matchday:

Bucket Collections: Staff and volunteers will be located around the stadium, easily identifiable in their branded t-shirts, and drop in a donation if you can.

Donate: Every donation goes towards Give Big For Little Hearts, a campaign to fund neonatal technology at Leicester Royal Infirmary. Text 10LCFC to 70085 to donate £10 to support Leicester Hospitals Charity, or click for further donation options.

Digital Donations: Can’t carry cash? No problem! A QR code will be displayed on various digital screens, allowing fans to donate quickly and easily.

Information Stalls: Find out more about the charity, who will have an information stall outside the stadium.

To show further support for the campaign, Caleb Okoli and James Justin recently visited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Leicester Royal Infirmary to meet staff, families and patients.

They witnessed firsthand the work being carried out to support premature and seriously ill babies, learning more about Give Big For Little Hearts and the transformational impact new cutting-edge technology will have on the unit’s care delivery.

James said: "It’s inspiring to see how much care and attention goes into looking after these tiny babies.

“Visiting the Neonatal Unit really puts things into perspective, and the strength of the families and the dedication of the staff is incredible.

“The technology they’re looking to introduce will make a huge difference, and we’re proud to help raise awareness and funds for such a vital campaign.”

Leicester Hospitals Charity exists to support patients, their carers and the NHS staff who look after them in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond.

Through targeted fundraising campaigns and effective management of donations, the charity provides additional resources, assets and skills which link closely with the strategic aims of Leicester’s Hospitals and the broader strategic aims of NHS healthcare in the East Midlands.
