We tackle Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday (3pm BST kick-off)
Martí Cifuentes sat down with the media to provide an update on his squad
A decision will be made on Stephy Mavididi’s fitness ahead of travelling to Swansea.com Stadium
The winger ‘felt his hamstring’ in training, the Foxes Manager revealed
The Foxes face the Swans at Swansea.com Stadium this weekend as the Sky Bet Championship season continues to roll on in south west Wales - our third game in just over a week, following draws against West Bromwich Albion and Wrexham.
In terms of the current fitness of the squad, there is concern surrounding winger Mavididi, who came on as a 68th-minute substitute against Wrexham on Tuesday, but picked up a hamstring complaint during training the following day.
The defender back in action at King Power Stadium earlier this week.
“Everybody finished the game in good shape but it’s true that Stephy felt his hamstring a little bit in yesterday’s practice,” Cifuentes told the media. “But apart from that everybody was okay after the game.
“We don’t know yet [the extent of the injury], it was a muscular feeling, a small one. The medical team are assessing him and we’ll know more tomorrow.”
Having missed the opening five fixtures of the season through injury, Victor Kristiansen made his return at the Hawthorns last week, also coming through 45 minutes in midweek, introduced from the bench at half-time.
“He’s okay,” the Spaniard revealed on our Danish full-back. “He’s doing very well in training. He trained a lot with it (the mask) and took the decision himself that it was time to compete. In every small-sided situation and game he has been doing well, so he is fully available.”
