Our game against Brentford at King Power Stadium on Friday night is dedicated to the work of Heartwize, who focus on training young people and the wider community in lifesaving skills, including the use of portable defibrillators. Since launching in 2014, the charity’s volunteers have trained more than 60,000 people across Leicestershire, helping to create a generation of lifesavers by equipping individuals with the necessary skills to respond to cardiac emergencies effectively.
Ricardo said: "It’s great to support Heartwize in their mission to train our local community with essential life-saving skills.
“Learning CPR and knowing how to use a defibrillator can make a critical difference in emergency situations. It is such an important skill, and you never know when you might need it.
“Cardiac arrests can happen anywhere, so having more people trained could save lives. What Heartwize are doing for our community is incredible, and I’m proud to help them.”
On Friday, supporters will have the opportunity to donate, speak directly with Heartwize volunteers about the importance of CPR, and learn more about how this training can save lives.
Look out for special matchday activities around King Power Stadium, including bucket collections, demonstrations and more.
Every donation goes directly towards expanding Heartwize’s vital CPR and defibrillator training. Text CPR plus the amount you wish to donate to 70460 to support their work. For example, to donate £5 text CPR 5 To 70460.
