We were held to a 2-2 draw by Stevenage in Sky Bet League One on Saturday
Sammy Braybrooke scored his first senior Foxes goal at King Power Stadium
The midfielder outlined the disappointment not to come away with three points
Twice ahead in the game, the visitors came from behind in both halves to claim a share of the spoils, with much frustration in the Foxes camp that we could not record a third successive home success at King Power Stadium. After Braybrooke’s early opener, Ben Broggio brought Alex Revell’s side back on level terms midway through the first half, before Kamari Doyle looked to have set Russell Martin’s men on course for victory, but for Tuğra Turhan’s equaliser 12 minutes from time.

“Of course, we’re all pretty frustrated and disappointed in there,” the Academy graduate expressed post-match. “It feels like a loss as such with the way we dominated the game, especially in the second half.
“We limited them to very few touches in our box and they ultimately score off that, which we’ll have to have a look at. We know it should be better. We have to keep our foot on the pedal when we’re on top and not just think it’s comfortable because it’s 2-1.
“I’m sure we’ll learn from it and move forward. Obviously, you take a point, but we want three points and we feel like we should have got three. One lapse in concentration has cost us, that’s the ultimate thing.”
The midfielder converted Will Alves’ cross to score his first senior Leicester City goal just two minutes in on Filbert Way and it was a special moment to finally find the net, though naturally he’d have preferred it to contribute to a victory.
“It was an amazing feeling,” the 22-year-old continued. “Everyone wants to score and help the team. I’ve been working hard at it trying to get in the box and add those numbers to my game. To hear King Power erupt, it was great.
“I feel like over the last few games I’ve been getting closer. But to finally get a goal like that, and a pretty easy one, it’s nice to get on the scoresheet. I definitely didn’t think it was going to come that early [in the game].
“I had a feeling coming into the game that maybe today was the day. I’ve been getting in the box and into good areas. When it fell to me, it was all you could wish for, a little tap-in.”
