Henry Carwright shared his thoughts on the draw and his time with the First Team the weekend prior
It has been a busy few days for Academy midfielder Cartwright, who had travelled with the First Team for their trip to Newcastle United, before starting for the Under-21s on Monday. Speaking first on the Under-21s draw with the Toffees, he thinks it was a good performance from Leicester that could've warranted more. "At the end, I think it's a fair result," Cartwright stated. "At the start of the game in the first half, we were very dominant. We had a lot of chances we should've put away but got a bit tired towards the end.
"But we could've stole it at the end, so all-in-all I think a draw is a fair result."
Speaking through how he got his first call-up to travel with the senior squad, the midfielder says that playing for the First Team has always been his dream since joining the Academy, and hopes that with more hard work, that achievement comes sooner rather than later.
"It was a great experience," Cartwright announced. "The game itself, I wasn't involved, but being there and a part of it was a great experience. During the week, I was with them a lot more and I had a thought in the back of my end I may have been involved.

"I didn't think too much about it but I got told I was travelling the day before and I was happy to be involved.
"My goal is to make my first First Team appearance. Over the years I've been here, that's where I want to get to and hopefully it come my way but I've got to keep working.
"I think that this season, we've been outstanding. It feels like the same interview each game that we dominate but don't get the wins.
"Under-21s football is more about performances but that's what we need to learn going into First Team football but from top to bottom I think we've been brilliant this season."
