Although the young Foxes defeated Derby County in their last home league fixture, we were looking to quickly recover from being knocked out of the Premier League Cup by Queens Park Rangers on Friday and did just that back on home soil. There were two changes made from that XI, including starts for Michael Golding and Amani Richards following injuries, in place of Sammy Braybrooke and Alfie Fisken.
Amani Richards was the star of the show in Seagrave.
Both goals came in the latter stages of the opening period with the returning Richards striking four minutes from the interval to open his account before setting up Logan Briggs to net again in first half stoppage-time, having also found himself on the scoresheet against the Rams.
Despite a total of 20 shots and 11 on target, that was enough to seal another three points for the side coached by Leon McSweeney, who picked up an eighth win of the campaign and a clean sheet in the process.
Logan Briggs celebrates another goal.
Moving onto 27 points from 17 matches, we now sit eighth in PL2 ahead of travelling to Rush Green to meet West Ham United on Friday 14 March (7pm GMT kick-off).
