The Club’s all-time top Premier League goalscorer, who has 18 strikes to his name this season, followed Youri Tielemans’ header with a second-half double on Filbert Way.

Following the 2-2 draw at West Ham United, Vardy, 32, revealed that everyone in Brendan Rodgers’ squad wanted to put in a performance that was as close to perfect as possible.

“We thought from the off that we wanted to get out,” said City’s No.9, who has now scored eight goals against the Gunners, more than any other team in his Foxes career.

Goals: Leicester City 3 Arsenal 0

Leicester City were in fearsome form as they secured a fantastic 3-0 victory over Arsenal at King Power Stadium.

“Last week, from the start especially, we were a bit slow, but in the second half we showed what we’re about.

“This week we wanted to do a full 90 and I think we’ve done that today.”

Vardy also praised the impact Rodgers has made since his arrival at the Club, collecting 16 points from eight matches and allowing the Foxes to settle in the Premier League’s top-10.

Maddison Delighted With Dominant Display

Foxes midfielder James Maddison talk to LCFC TV after his side's 3-0 victory over the Gunners at King power Stadium...

“I think the intensity that he’s got us playing at and the pressing… we’re winning the ball a lot higher up which gets us a lot more opportunities,” he added.

“If you look at the creativity that we’ve got in behind, we’re always looking for the killer pass. In the dressing room we’re just taking each game as it comes.

“We’ll get back out on that training field now and we’re looking forward to Manchester City next week. We’ll try and put in a performance to get as many points as possible.”
