Academy Scout – London Area

Leicester City are looking for an Academy Scout to observe and produce scouting reports on players and games in the London area specified by the Recruitment Department.

Background to the Club

Leicester City Football Club, also known as the Foxes, is a top-flight English football club, going into their sixth consecutive season in the Premier League. In 2015/16, ranked as 5000-1 outsiders, Leicester City were crowned Premier League champions. 

In 2010, the Club was bought by Asian Football Investments, a Thai-led consortium fronted by King Power’s founder and Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The stadium was named King Power Stadium in 2011 and one year later in 2012, King Power International became sole owners of the Club.

About The Role 

Focusing on the London area, the role of Academy Scout requires identification and recommendation of appropriate players to the Leicester City Academy aged U12-U16. The successful candidate will be required to observe and produce scouting reports on players and games specified by the Recruitment Department.

Who We’re Looking For 

The ideal candidate will:

- Have previous experience in a similar role.
- Have an extensive knowledge of academy and youth football.
- Be able to communicate to the highest level, listens, interprets and conveys information in a clear and accurate manner, provides timely delivery of information and selects the most appropriate method of communication.
- Have excellent written skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
