Johansson believes City performed well in phases, but speaking to LCFC TV, the Swedish shot-stopper admitted that an improvement is required over coming weeks.

"Of course, everyone is upset," Johansson said. "I think we played some good football at times but we just switched off a little bit at times and they punished us.

Johansson: Result Tough To Take

Goalkeeper Viktor Johansson reflects on the Development Squad's defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday.

"We just have to go back again to the training ground and see what we can work on to get better. Of course, it’s a tough break for us in this match.

"We wanted to come out strong and start the second half really good and then we conceded another goal and we’re back, starting from zero again.

"We didn’t really get control of the game, it was very forward, back, forward, back, [with] counter-attacks, because we’d moved men forward and then they’d break on us."

Of course, we’re looking forward to the [Wolves] game already, we want to put things right so hopefully we’ll do a better job then.

The Foxes head to Wolverhampton Wanderers in Premier League 2 Division 1 next Friday (7pm BST kick-off) and Johansson says everyone is determined to do better.

"It wasn’t good enough this evening so we just have to go again with the next game next Friday," he continued. "We have to break it down and then get up again.

"Of course, we’re looking forward to the [Wolves] game already, we want to put things right so hopefully we’ll do a better job then."

Nick Walsh and Sean St Ledger will be on commentary for LCFC TV during next Friday's clash with Wolves - available live and for free.
