This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Buyer to support the Procurement team with a short term project.

About The Role 

Based at the King Power Stadium, the key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Managing tender processes across multiple commodities in accordance with agreed project deliverables
  • Leading negotiation of commercial tenders, contract terms
  • Managing suppliers' performance against arrangements and to manage key relationships with stakeholders and consultants
  • Co-ordinating and supporting cross functional working with senior stakeholders
  • Engaging with stakeholders to review and challenge specifications and develop robust procurement strategies

Who We’re Looking For

Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrable significant high value procurement/purchasing responsibility which shows good commercial influencing and negotiation skills
  • An aptitude for dealing with complex issues and limited budgets, reorganising priorities, and multi-tasking on concurrent projects in a frequently changing environment is essential
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously if required
  • Experience of dealing with strong personalities and the gravitas to challenge when appropriate

Hours Per Week
– 37.5 per week
