Senior Kicks Coordinator

Leicester City in the Community are looking for a Senior Kicks Coordinator to oversee the day to day coordination of the Premier League Kicks programme.

Following a period of growth, Leicester City in the Community (LCitC) has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Kicks Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

About the role

The Premier League Kicks programme is a flagship targeted project which uses the power of football and the value of sports participation to help hard-to-reach youngsters in some of the most high-need areas.

LCitC are growing the Kicks programme across Leicester and Leicestershire. This role will oversee the day to day coordination of Kicks. This will involve a large element of sports delivery and educational workshops alongside promoting the project in the local community.

The post holder will be responsible for leading a dedicated team and supporting the wider LCitC team to deliver a number of programmes across the Leicestershire area including coordination of our Inclusive Practice team funded largely through PL Kicks. 

Who we’re looking for

If you understand how to use the power of sport to engage and motivate young people, and are passionate about supporting the local community, we want to hear from you.

Skills required for success: 

  • Ability to engage with young people, with experience of working within a community setting.
  • Ability to form strong and appropriate relationships, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Planning and organisational skills to support high quality interventions and activities.
  • Ability to remain clam, de-escalate conflict and manage challenging behaviour.

Essential requirements: 

- FA Level 2 Coaching in Football or above
- Must satisfy relevant pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS check
- Ability to travel across multiple sites

Contract Type – 12 month fixed-term contract
Hours Per Week
– 37.5, You may be required to work outside of normal office hours, at evenings and weekends.
