Leicester City’s Development Squad have been drawn against Newport County at Rodney Parade in the Quarter-Final of the Leasing.com Trophy following Thursday afternoon’s draw.

The young Foxes will face Newport after beating Tranmere Rovers 2-1 at Prenton Park in Round 3 on Tuesday night, with George Hirst and Admiral Muskwe on the scoresheet.
After finishing top of Northern Group A with wins over Sunderland and Grimsby Town as well as a penalty shootout success at Scunthorpe United, City’s youngsters then beat Doncaster Rovers 3-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium in Round 2 to set up a tie against Micky Mellon’s outfit on the Wirral.
