The Foxes registered their 50th point of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign on Friday evening when they drew 0-0 with Wolverhampton Wanderers with 10 men at Molineux Stadium.

They are now nine points above Chelsea in fourth position, and while the Blues have a game in hand over City, Rodgers says his players have been ‘absolutely brillaint’ during his first full season in charge at King Power Stadium.

“Our focus is just to try and finish as high as we can,” he said following City’s latest outing. “These players have been amazing.

“Up until now, at this point, with 12 games to go and where they sit, they’ve done absolutely brilliant.

'We Can Be Pleased With A Draw'

Jonny Evans reviews Leicester City's 0-0 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Friday.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do. There’s still 36 points to play for, so we’ve got to keep pushing and working. It sets us up now for the remainder of the season.”

Pleased with the way his side negotiated their encounter with Nuno Espírito Santo’s men, Rodgers reflected positively at the full-time whistle.

He added: “I thought it was a good game considering it was 0-0. I thought we started the game really well, had good composure and really dominated the ball.

In the second half, we played well but then went down to 10 men. For us to keep a clean sheet and get through it in the end, it was pleasing.

“We got into some really good areas and just couldn’t quite make the final pass. Wolves are a hard team to break down.

“They sit deep and have a lot of numbers in their half, but we passed it in good areas and just needed that final bit of quality to break through.

“In the second half, we played well but then went down to 10 men. For us to keep a clean sheet and get through it in the end, it was pleasing.”
