Leicester City will join its community of Premier League clubs in commemorating 72 years of the National Health Service on Sunday.

Throughout the recent COVID-19 pandemic, NHS staff, frontline or otherwise, have dedicated themselves to protecting our population and treating those who have fallen unwell.
Since early 2020, the country has come together each Thursday to applaud the NHS and key workers in all sectors for their efforts as the world continues to respond to unprecedented circumstances. On Sunday, meanwhile, all 20 clubs of the Premier League will collectively express their gratitude and celebrate the NHS's 72nd birthday, marking its founding in 1948 after the Second World War.
As part of the Club's commitment to serving its community, Leicester City supporters were provided an option to donate a percentage of their ticket rebates to charity earlier this year.
Over £150,000 has so far been raised for the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation, supporting the renovation of the LRI’s Kinmonth Unit – a key facility for University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust. Elsewhere, profits from all 2019/20 shirts sold between now and the end of the season will be donated to the Foundation, supporting the Leicestershire community, its response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its equality and diversity efforts.
