Morgan: A Game Of Fine Margins

Wes Morgan says Leicester City will move on swiftly from Thursday's UEFA Europa League reverse at Zorya Luhansk as they return to Premier League duties this weekend.

Despite a slender 1-0 defeat at Zorya Luhansk, the Foxes remain top of Group G with one game to play, and they next head to Sheffield United in the Premier League on Sunday (2:15pm GMT kick-off).

Morgan, who has amassed over 300 appearances for the Club, believes Leicester were unfortunate to lose out in Zaporizhzhia, but called on his team-mates to analyse the match and then move on.

"It was a tough game for us," he told LCFC TV. "We’ve obviously gone into it with the intentions to get a result out of the game and we had a couple of chances that we probably should have scored.

"They had a couple of chances as well, but at the end of it, I think a draw, we’d have taken, but it wasn’t meant to be.

They got that last-minute goal, which is very disappointing, but we’ll take the positives out the game and put that behind us and move onto our next game now.

"They got that last-minute goal, which is very disappointing, but we’ll take the positives out the game and put that behind us and move onto our next game now."

There were notable chances for Harvey Barnes, Cengiz Ünder, Wesley Fofana and James Maddison at Slavutych Arena, but Allahyar Sayyadmanesh's late effort ultimately sealed the points for Zorya.

"It’s a game of fine margins," Morgan added. "If you don’t take your chances when you get them, you’re always susceptible for the opposition going and scoring and taking, maybe, the one chance they may have.

"Maybe we need to work on a bit of finishing, but like I said, we’ll take the positives out the game and look to rectify it and the mistakes which we may have done throughout the game and get a result in the next game."

After Sunday's visit to Bramall Lane, the Foxes entertain AEK Athens in the Europa League next Thursday knowing they simply have to better SC Braga's result to secure top spot in their pool.

Morgan believes that is a positive for Leicester going into the clash, while he was also thrilled to see some players make their returns from injury in Ukraine on Thursday.

"We'll be at home for the final game in the group and it'll be good to finish on a positive note," he continued. "It's in our hands, that is, and hopefully we can finish top of the group.

"It was a good opportunity for some of the boys to get some game time, come back from injury, and it's very important that we get them up and running and included in our squad.

"We've got lots of games coming up, so a couple of boys got through the game fine, which is positive."
