LCFC Women defender Sophie Howard has been named in Scotland’s 23-strong squad for their upcoming 2022 UEFA Women’s European Championships qualifiers.

Howard, 27, has been a key member of a Foxes side that currently sits top of the FA Women’s Championship and reached the semi-finals of the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup.
She will have the opportunity to add to her 15 Scotland caps later this month when they face Cyprus at the AEK Arena in Larnaca on Friday 19 February before taking on Portugal at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium four days later.
Scotland currently sit third in qualification Group E with nine points from six games, with Portugal and Finland both on 16 points, Albania on six points and Cyprus without a point so far.
