City's Loan Contingent Continue To Impress

Eight Leicester City loanees have been in action throughout the Sky Bet Football League and across Europe over the past few weeks.

Goalkeeper Daniel Iversen kept a fourth consecutive clean sheet as in-form Preston North End beat Barnsley 2-0 at Deepdale on Saturday. The success was a third straight Sky Bet Championship victory under Frankie McAvoy.

Following a goalless stalemate against Stoke City, Derby County were then defeated by three goals before also beating Coventry 1-0. The Lilywhites' final fixture of the campaign is a trip to tackle Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).

Luton Town extended their unbeaten run to six matches after a 0-0 draw with Rotherham United on Tuesday evening. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall played 90 minutes at Kenilworth Road as the Hatters consolidated their mid-table position of 12th in the second tier standings.

Featuring for the full game in the 1-0 win over Watford and the goalless draw with Reading, Dewsbury-Hall also played a starring role as Luton came from 2-0 down to beat Bristol City. The midfielder assisted goals for James Collins and Elijah Adebayo before Harry Cornick fired in the winner.

The 22-year-old then made his fourth consecutive start in the 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough last weekend, meaning Nathan Jones' side are now guaranteed a top half finish and travel to face Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on the final day of the season this Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).

Elsewhere in the second tier, Matty James assisted Leo Skiri-Østigård's 70th-minute winner for Coventry City in their 1-0 success at Rotherham United.

James also played 90 minutes of the 2-0 triumph over his former loan club Barnsley three days later, ahead of a third successive victory for the Sky Blues. James featured from the bench in the 3-2 win against Stoke City, replacing Liam Kelly after half an hour of the clash at bet365 Stadium.

The central midfielder then started the 1-0 defeat to Preston North End and the 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town, which leaves Mark Robins' outfit 17th in the table ahead of tackling Millwall on Saturday afternoon (12:30pm kick-off).

Admiral Muskwe has scored three goals in 16 Championship appearances for Wycombe.

Foxes loanee Admiral Muskwe opened the scoring for Wycombe Wanderers in a 2-2 draw at Swansea City, before playing 79 minutes of the 2-1 comeback win over Bristol City. The forward was also in the starting XI for the 2-1 reverse against Cardiff City on 24 April, featuring for the first 76 minutes at Cardiff City Stadium.

Gareth Ainsworth's side returned to winning ways by beating AFC Bournemouth at Adams Park on Saturday, with Muskwe playing the full game.

The Chairboys have picked up seven points from their last four games to keep alive their hopes of Championship survival alive, ahead of a final day meeting with Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium this Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).

Also in the relegation fight, Rotherham United have packed in seven fixtures since 15 April, picking up two points in their last two games. Forward George Hirst made a 69th-minute substitute appearance in the 1-1 home draw with Blackburn Rovers last weekend, after also coming off the bench in the 1-0 reverses at both Barnsley and Brentford.

Narrow home defeats to Birmingham City (1-0) and Middlesbrough (2-1) also included second half appearances from Hirst. The Millers, currently 22nd in the standings, travel to face Cardiff City on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off) needing a win to have a chance of maintaining their Championship status.

Callum Wright's Cheltenham Town were promoted to Sky Bet League 1 following a 1-1 draw with Carlisle United. The midfielder was an unused substitute at Whaddon Road before his half-time introduction in the 1-0 defeat at Newport County on Saturday.

The Robins can clinch the title against Harrogate Town in the final game of the season on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Rachid Ghezzal scored in back-to-back games and registered his 17th league assist of the season as top-of-the-table Beşiktaş edged a step closer to sealing the Turkish Süper Lig title.

Following draws against MKE Ankaragücü and Sivasspor, Ghezzal's fourth-minute penalty helped the league leaders dispatch Kayserispor 3-1, with the Algerian also setting up Georges-Kévin Nkoudou's second goal.

The winger was on target yet again in the 3-2 victory over Rizespor, assisting Nkoudou once more for the opener, before firing in what proved to be the winner on 75 minutes.

A 7-0 success over Hatayspor followed last Saturday, with Ghezzal finding Nkoudou for the fourth goal, to send the Black Eagles five points clear of second-place Fenerbahçe with three games to play. Third-place Galatasaray are their next opponents at Türk Telekom Arena on Saturday 8 May (6:30pm kick-off).

In Belgium, meanwhile, Kamal Sowah played 90 minutes for OH Leuven in a 2-1 defeat to Waasland-Beveren in their final game of the Jupiler Pro League season, as Marc Brys' side finished the campaign in 11th position.
