- Each year group got to see the Premier League trophy and have a photo taken
- The trophy visit was won by year 4 pupil Safiyyah following a Premier League Primary Stars Summer Challenge last year
- Safiyyah also received a video message from children’s author Dan Freedman

Pupils of all ages at Premier League Primary Stars partner school Sandfield Close Primary got to experience seeing the prestigious Premier League trophy - won by the Club in 2016 - in person last week.

Winning the Premier League Primary Stars Summer Challenge, year 4 pupil Safiyyah’s prize was a surprise visit from the trophy that she could share with her entire school. The challenge that Safiyyah took part in was to create a book character that could be part of a football-themed story.

Adding to a list of surprises, children’s author and creator of the Jamie Johnson series, Dan Freedman, who introduced the challenge, sent Safiyyah a video message congratulating her on a worthy win.

Sandfield Close Primary School Teacher, Elliott Harris explained Safiyyah’s winning idea: “She created a character about a girl who is really, really shy, but when she came out to play football she’s really confident.”

After seeing the famous trophy, lifted by former Leicester City captain Wes Morgan in 2016, competition winner Safiyyah said: “I was just really happy. It’s nothing like I imagined.”
