A total of three Leicester City representatives featured in Belgium’s matchday squad for their Nations League fixture against the Dragons at Cardiff City Stadium.

Tielemans started from the off, with fellow Foxes midfielder Dennis Praet coming off the bench on 72 minutes. Timothy Castagne was an unused substitute for the Red Devils, meanwhile.

After registering an assist during a big victory over Poland, Tielemans was on the scoresheet in Cardiff when Michy Batshuayi turned in the box before laying the ball off for the 25-year-old to send an arrowed finish into the bottom corner shortly after the interval, his fifth international goal.

The midfielder celebrates his fifth goal for Belgium with team-mates Kevin De Bruyne and Yannick Carrasco.

Roberto Martínez’s side could not hold on to the lead, however, conceding an 86th-minute equaliser when Aaron Ramsey set up Brennan Johnson.

Belgium are currently second in the group table, on four points, and their next match is Tuesday night’s meeting with Poland - who sit below the Red Devils on goal difference - at the National Stadium in Warsaw (7:45pm kick-off).

Elsewhere, there was Nations League success for City centre-back Çağlar Söyüncü, who played 90 minutes and helped Turkey keep a clean sheet against Luxembourg, as the Crescent Stars triumphed 2-0 in League C Group 1.

There was just under 20 minutes of action for Dennis Praet in Cardiff.

Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored from the spot on 37 minutes to break the deadlock at Stade de Luxembourg and Serdar Dursun doubled the advantage in the second half to seal another three points.

The result keeps Turkey top of their pool with nine points from a possible nine, maintaining a 100 per cent record ahead of hosting bottom-of-the-table Lithuania at Gursel Aksel Stadium in their fourth group game on Tuesday (7:45pm kick-off).

More international action awaits on Sunday, when Leicester defender Jonny Evans could be involved for Northern Ireland against Cyprus (2pm kick-off). Check back HERE for updates.
