The Foxes, three-time winners, begin their Carabao Cup journey with a second round trip to Edgeley Park to face Dave Challinor's Hatters (7:45pm kick-off). The coverage will begin, on LCFC.com and @LCFC on Facebook and YouTube, from an hour before kick-off in Greater Manchester.
Back in the LCFC TV studio in Leicester, presenter Dan Bates, alongside League Cup winners Elliott and Taggart, will talk through the key pre-match talking points. Simpson, a member of City's iconic Premier League title-winning side, will be with commentator Niall McCaughan in Stockport.
