Back To Back Wins For Leicester's U18s

Leicester City's Under-18s side made it two wins in a row on Saturday, overcoming Southampton 2-0 away.
More on this story...

Following the prior weekend's 2-0 success over Brighton & Hove Albion at LCFC Training Ground, the young Foxes travelled south on Saturday, heading to Staplewood Training Ground.

Second-half goals from Amani Richards and Joshua King were ultimately enough for City's youngsters, who climb to eighth in the 12-team U18 Premier League South standings.

They next travel to Crystal Palace U18s on Saturday (12pm GMT kick-off), starting a seven-game final run-in. A win in south London next weekend could see the side coached by Adam Barradell climb as high as sixth.

The details...

City: Addai; Cook, Gray, Grist (c); Lewis, Ali, B. Amartey, Joseph; Richards, King (Fisken 74'), Nyoni (Otchere 88').

Subs not used: Bausor, Ononaye, T. Thomas.

Goals: Richards 54', King 66'.
