PL2 Action Returns For City's Under-21s

City's youngsters return to action as the Premier League commence their new setup for PL2, and welcome Derby to LCFC Training Ground in their first of 20 league matchdays.

Part of the 26-side combined league from last season's PL2 Division 1 and Division 2, the new structure allows for more games and chances to play different opposition, in an attempt to further replicate senior football to allow for an easy transition to the men's game. Coach Ben Petty has seen several of last season's Under-21s feature under Enzo Maresca's first team, with wingers Wanya Marcal-Madivadua and Kasey McAteer featuring heavily during the Club's opening games in the Sky Bet Championship and Carabao Cup.
