Two goals from Kasey McAteer - his first and second for the Club - saw the Foxes pick up a fifth consecutive win in all competitions. Fred Onyedinma initially got the Millers back into the game at the start of the second half, but Maresca's men remained calm and benefited from widening pockets of space late on to seal all three points.

City are now top of the Sky Bet Championship after their best-ever start to a season.

"It’s a good win," Maresca said at full-time. "The performance, for me, was good. We did some good things, but at the same time, we could probably play a little bit more.

McAteer Seals The Points In Rotherham

Enjoy the best of the action from AESSEAL New York Stadium as the Foxes go top of the Sky Championship with a win over Rotherham United.

"We did very well at set pieces because set pieces for this team – corners, free-kicks – they are very dangerous. We adapted quite well. You need to adapt. Some games, you’ll have more space. Some games, not.

"Some games, you have to deal with set pieces. Today, I think they did very well."

Leicester scoring late winners is becoming a frequent occurrence this term and Maresca believes it's no consequence.

A Good Win, Says Maresca

Manager Enzo Maresca offers his verdict on Leicester City's 2-1 win over Rotherham United.

"Since we started, the way we play, because we try to play a lot, the opponent will run," the Italian explained. "Probably in the last 10-20 minutes of the second half, we have more spaces and more chances.

"This happened in the last four [league] games. Some games, for us, we will not [win] in the last 10 minutes, but it’s the way we want to try to play. It’s a journey, it’s a process that is not easy. I can see day after day that the team is working well and they understand what I want and they try. This is the most important thing."
