Leicester City's Under-18s recorded a 2-1 home win over Sunderland in the U18 Premier League Cup on Saturday.
Leicester's Under-18s started their 2023/24 campaign with a 2-1 win over Norwich City, and have more recently drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion before falling to a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Fulham, leaving City seventh in U18 Premier League South with four points.
Last weekend, attention turned to cup action against the Black Cats at LCFC Training Ground, where a first-half brace from Reece Evans saw the young Foxes emerge victorious.
Netting his first goal just 10 minutes in, Evans scored again just after the half-hour mark, assisted by Ryan Donnelly. Cuba Mitchell did pull one back for the visitors, but it wasn't enough to spark any form of comeback.
City's Under-18s are next in action when they welcome Crystal Palace to Seagrave as normal league service resumes on Saturday 16 September, with an 11am BST kick-off.
