Belgian Clean Sheet For Faes

Wout Faes' Belgium and Patson Daka's Zambia pick up wins on Saturday as Deniche Hill featured for Bermuda.
More on this story...

- Wout Faes played 90 minutes in Belgium's 1-0 UEFA EURO Championship qualifier win over Azerbaijan
- Patson Daka scores for Zambia in their Africa Cup of Nations qualification draw with Comoros
- Deniche Hill was a substitute for Bermuda against French Guiana

This Saturday saw three Foxes feature on the international stage, Faes being one of them, as the central defender started and ended Belgium's 1-0 win over Azerbaijan in Group F of the UEFA EURO Championship qualification stage.

An ever-present force in Enzo Maresca's new-look Leicester City, the defender lined up at Dalga Arena alongside former Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen, and helped to keep a clean sheet as a single goal from Yannick Carrasco just before the interval made the difference.

The win sees the Red Devils remain top of their group with 10 points, having won three of the first four games. Attention for Faes' Belgium now turns to their match with Estonia, who they will meet on Tuesday 12 September.

Elsewhere, striker Daka started in Zambia's Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Comoros. The home side took the lead just before the break through Benjaloud Youssouf, but the Leicester forward got his country back level after he found the net in the 71st minute.

The crucial strike earned Zambia their first draw and keeps them above Côte d'Ivoire at the top of Group H with 13 points after six games, with qualification to the prestigious tournament next year confirmed.

The final Fox to feature on Saturday was Under-21s' player Hill, who was a late substitute in Bermuda's goalless draw with French Guiana at Dame Flora Duffy National Sports Centre, a result which sees them pick up their first point in Group B of CONCACAF Nations League.

More Leicester players have the chance to represent their country on Sunday when Australia's Harry Souttar, Denmark's Mads Hermansen and Nigerian duo Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho all have international matches before the weekend is out.
