Over in Spain, French midfielder Boubakary Soumaré made his Sevilla debut as an 85th-minute substitute in the 1-0 win over Las Palmas at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium last weekend. He also came off the bench after the hour-mark in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday as Sevilla drew 1-1 with Lens at home.

It’s Osasuna up next in La Liga for the Andalusia-based club on Saturday (3:15pm kick-off) as they look to consolidate their top-half position, having won two of their five games so far this term.

Luke Thomas made his full debut for Sheffield United as the Blades lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. After taking the lead in north London, Paul Heckingbottom’s side conceded twice deep into stoppage-time to leave Tottenham Hotspur Stadium empty handed.

It was the full-back’s second appearance for the Yorkshire club, who are 17th in the Premier League prior to hosting Newcastle United at Bramall Lane on Sunday (4:30pm kick-off).

In Sky Bet League 2, centre-back Lewis Brunt played 90 minutes of Mansfield’s 1-1 draw away at Colchester United last Saturday. A stoppage-time leveller secured a point on the road for the Stags, who rise to fifth in the league standings. The 22-year-old has made four appearances for Town so far and could make a fifth when they welcome Barrow to One Call Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

Nathan Opoku has started four times for OH Leuven this term, scoring once, but a groin injury kept him out of the club’s last three Belgium First Division fixtures. Thirteenth-placed Leuven take on KV Mechelen on Saturday (5:15pm kick-off).

Leicester City Development Squad forward Zach Booth is still waiting to make his Volendam debut. The American was an unused substitute for the Eredivisie outfit in their 3-1 defeat to Fortuna Sittard at the weekend. The next opportunity for the 19-year-old to feature is Saturday’s home match with Heracles (3:30pm kick-off).
