Extending City's lead to second to 12 and widening the distance to third to 14 in the Sky Bet Championship, Fatawu opened the scoring inside four minutes at King Power Stadium.
Jamie Vardy, on the other hand, made sure of Leicester's 25th win of the season before half-time. After netting his third goal of the campaign, Fatawu was thrilled to have made an impact on the outcome for Enzo Maresca's leaders.
"I feel amazing," the Ghanian said after full-time. "This is what the coach always asks us to do. I’m happy for tonight."

On his goal, he added: "If you see it from outside, you might think it’s easy, but it’s so difficult. I just needed to be calm to put it in. That’s what I did. The way the coach gives us the room, it makes it easier for us."
Remaining focused on the task at hand, securing promotion to the Premier League as quickly as possible will be key for the Foxes as they approach a crucial run-in, says City's No.18.
"We are always ready," the Sporting Lisbon loanee explained. "We have something big to aim for. We are just going to keep going, keep the focus, keep winning, and we’ll see what happens.
"We have focus. Every game is the same for us. We want to always be on top of the league and this is what we have to do to keep on going."
