Under-18s Fall To Brighton Reverse

The Leicester City Under-18s were beaten 1-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday morning.

Leicester fell to defeat in the U18 Premier League for the first time since February as a solo goal from Sahil Bashir was the difference between the two sides at American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.

There were three changes to the young Foxes side that beat Reading 2-1 as Bobby Amartey came back into the defence, replacing Mirsad Ali, while Kirsten Otchere retained his place up front after scoring against the Royals.

Bashir opened the scoring for the hosts 20 minutes in and Ronnie Gorman had the chance to double the Seagulls' lead ten minutes later with a penalty but failed to convert from 12 yards, though it did not prove significant on the south coast.

The Foxes are currently positioned seventh in the table, level on points with Brighton. Four games remain this season, and continue their run-in with the visit of West Ham United to LCFC Training Ground on Saturday afternoon for a 12pm BST kick-off.
