February started in excellent fashion with Leicester's biggest win of the campaign so far, beating Stoke City 5-0 as Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka both scored a brace at bet365 Stadium; Kasey McAteer netting the other.

Seven days later, City saw off Watford 2-1, Daka breaking the deadlock from the penalty spot before Ricardo Pereira made it 2-0, finishing off a fine team move. Emmanuel Dennis conjured up a nervy finish at Vicarage Road, but Leicester stood up to the test before making it three for three in February.

Sheffield Wednesday were the next side to fall victim to the Foxes as Abdul Fatawu gave Leicester an early lead before Vardy doubled the scoring ahead of the interval. Things were running smoothly in the East Midlands but a tougher test against Leeds was dawning closer.

Before that, Leicester welcomed Middlesborough to King Power Stadium, but found themselves undone by the northern outfit. Finn Azaz and Samuel Silvera surprising the hosts with a two-goal lead at the break. Vardy did give City hope with an 85th minute strike but to no avail.

This result disrupted Leicester's rhythm, but they had to find it again quickly, because a trip to Elland Road awaited. Taking the lead through an early Wout Faes strike, the travelling Foxes were undone by three Leeds goals in the space of the final 10 minutes.

Connor Roberts equalised and Archie Gray put the hosts in front for the first time in the game with a deflected strike from range. An injury-time third from a Patrick Bamford deflection was the nail in the coffin as Leicester had been defeated by the Yorkshire outfit.

Rare back-to-back losses in an otherwise sensational season were a shock to the system, but Leicester needed to get over this slump, and did so in brilliant fashion with a fifth round win over AFC Bournemouth on the south coast.

An extra-time winner from Fatawu sent the Foxes through to the Quarter-Finals where they would meet Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in less than a month's time - things were starting to heat up.
