Ben Chilwell says it was important for his Leicester City team-mates to show their appreciation to the Club’s fans at the full-time whistle on Sunday.

Ben Chilwell says it was important for his Leicester City team-mates to show their appreciation to the Club’s fans at the full-time whistle on Sunday.
The Foxes circled the King Power Stadium pitch to applaud the Blue Army, who were in full voice throughout the game to support the 2015/16 Premier League champions.
Chilwell played 90 minutes during City’s clash with AFC Bournemouth, which ended in a 1-1 draw on Filbert Way.
While the left back would have liked to end the campaign with a victory, he reflected fondly on a productive season in which he appeared 19 times across four competitions for the Foxes.
“Obviously, we’d have liked to have won the game, but we’ll take the draw,” Chilwell told LCFC TV during the Club’s lap of appreciation.
“It’s generally been a good season. We finished 12th and did well in the UEFA Champions League, so it’s been good.”
The Foxes faithful have packed out King Power Stadium and followed their team across Europe this term and Chilwell expressed his gratitude for their continued support.
He added: “The fans have been there all the way through the season, through thick and thin – showing our appreciation to them is very important because of how good they’ve been for us.”
