Leicester City youngster Jamie Anton has joined Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side Ilkeston Football Club on a month-long loan deal.
The talented 18-year-old full-back was a key part of Trevor Peake’s youth team set-up last season, and again showed his potential as part of the Under-21s side that took the Hong Kong Soccer Sevens crown in the summer.
Anton, who has this season featured for Steve Beaglehole’s Under-21s group, penned a new deal at King Power Stadium this summer, and will go straight into the Ilkeston squad that will travel to Frickley Athletic at the weekend.
Kevin Wilson’s side sit just one point outside the play-off positions after 17 games, and with the added help of City’s versatile defender will be keen to cut the current eight-point gap to leaders Skelmersdale United.
