Fearlessness Encourages Hamer

Starting in place of the injured Kasper Schmeichel, summer signing Hamer impressed on just his second Premier League outing, but echoed the frustrations of the team at coming away empty handed from King Power Stadium. 

He told Foxes Player: “Personally I’m very disappointed and the lads are very disappointed inside the dressing room, because we know we’ve had a right go. 

“We have caused them problems, and showed fearlessness about us again. I just think the goal we conceded was very disappointing. We looked solid all through he first half, we had a couple of chances and obviously the main man (Frank Lampard) for them steps up and scores the goals that he’s been doing throughout his career. 

“We’re very disappointed because we felt we could have had something out of the game. It hurts to be honest. 

“We can take credit [for our performance] but the end result is that we haven’t got a point out of the game. For us it’s disappointing because we’re not quite getting the breaks at the minute. 

“We’ve been working hard and that’s frustrating. Unfortunately when you’re at this end of the table, then it’s hard to get them breaks. We’re finding that at the minute and we just need to carry on going, keep producing performances like this, and if we can do that then I think we’ll get out of it. 

“We need to get that win, chalk that up on the board and from there we’ll get confidence.”
