Kramaric: Leicester Like Another World

New Leicester City signing Andrej Kramarić revealed that he is already feeling at home after clinching his dream move to the Barclays Premier League with the Foxes.
The 23-year-old striker was a hot property this January transfer window after plundering better than a goal-a-game for previous club HNK Rijeka in the Croatian top-flight, but it was the Foxes who moved fastest to secure his signature.

Kramarić was in attendance to see his new team-mates play in their 1-0 victory over Aston Villa last weekend, and now his work permit has been approved, he will be available to make his debut against Stoke City at King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

With a growing reputation as a gifted goal scorer, the Croatian international’s impending signing has caused much excitement among the Blue Army, and the man himself is equally excited to get started in a Leicester shirt.

Speaking exclusively to Foxes Player, Kramarić said: “I feel very nice, it’s my pleasure to be here, and I hope I can do my best here. “The stadium is very nice and the training facility is big. This is another world to Croatia. My first impressions are very good.

“The people that I have met here in Leicester so far, I feel that they live for football. I really think I will enjoy it here.

“I am very excited to be here. I will do my best to show the fans who I am and I will try to score goals.”

The talented young forward has not played since mid-December due to the winter break in the Croatian top-flight, but after watching patiently from the sidelines while until his work permit came through, he trained with his new team-mates for the first time this week.

But despite his short time in unfamiliar surroundings, Kramarić has been left in no doubt that he made the right decision by joining Nigel Pearson’s squad in their bid to secure Premier League survival.

He added: “I chose Leicester City because I think it is the best move for my career. Leicester City is the best club for me. I like how Leicester play, I like the players, I like the stadium and I like everything here.

“I would like to say thanks to our manager. For me I need to be at my best like I played in Croatia and with the national team, and I will need a little bit of time to get fit, because I’ve not trained for 20 days. But I hope to prepare for games quickly.”
