With a make or break run of Barclays Premier League fixtures beckoning for Leicester City, Nigel Pearson has underlined just how important the supporters will be in the coming weeks.
leaves the Foxes seven points adrift of safety with 11 games of the season remaining, but with seven home fixtures in that run, Pearson knows where survival could be won or lost. Relegation rivals Hull City are next on the agenda at King Power Stadium for City, who will need to kick-start a good run of results that build on some positive performances over recent weeks.
Away from home against Manchester City, Arsenal and Everton the Foxes have impressed, but with the players returning home to King Power Stadium on 14 March for the visit of Hull, Pearson is hoping that the unwavering support of the Blue Army can help make the difference in terms of results.
“I think it’s going to be important from here on in that whatever happens the fans stay behind the players, that’s really the most important thing for us,” Pearson told Foxes Player.
“The remaining games, we’ve got to win them, as simple as that. The games that we have left, it really is important that we go into them with the mentality that we’ve got to win them.
“The Hull City game now becomes a huge one for us. It was before the Manchester City game, but it’s our next one and we’ve got to make sure we win it.”
