The noise created by the Blue Army has been so loud that it has been able to give players an ‘extra push’ in games according to Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs.

Fuchs will be hoping to play his part in a City side that travel to AFC Bournemouth in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday afternoon, where they will be cheered on by a 1,000-strong contingent of City fans.

Since his arrival, the noise levels from the stands have continued to rise, and after having his family over for a game, the Austria national team captain was told first hand just how loud the Blue Army are.

<div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" ><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" >“I think the Leicester fans are not typical Premier league fans,” he told Foxes Player HD. “My family came to a game here at the stadium and they were telling me that they were unable to talk to each other. </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" ><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" >“That’s not common in the Premier League. We had other games like at West Ham where you can hear what everybody on the field is saying. I’m enjoying it a lot, the atmosphere is so loud and it’s very positive from the fans, which helps the team a lot. </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" ><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" >“The noise is good. OK it can prevent players from communicating but it just gives you that additional push that you need. Especially against Tottenham we were 0-1 down and the fans came to make it crazy loud and we answered right away with the goal from Riyad [Mahrez]. They help a lot.” </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" ><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" >Fuchs completed his first 90 minutes in a City shirt on Tuesday night in the 4-1 Capital One Cup victory over Bury at Gigg Lane. His composed defending and willingness to lend support to attacks made it an eye-catching full debut for the Austrian. </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" ><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" >Now ahead of a trip to Bournemouth, he’s keen to transfer that to the Premier League. </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;" ><br /></div><iframe src="http://www.player.lcfc.com/iframe/1a515980-080d-4dce-afc5-d7d5894cb17b" width="480" height="270" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" /><div ><br /><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“I was happy to play for 90 minutes,” he said. “It was a tough game but we tried everything. Bury played with long balls, which suited us because it was easy to adjust our game. I’m happy for Joe [Dodoo] to score his hat-trick and it was a nice game to play in. </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">“I’m looking forward to performing like that in the Premier League. I’m ready and yes my way of playing is to support the left-winger as much as possible and be as offensive as possible.” </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">Fuchs joined City on a free transfer from German side Schalke in the summer, and despite the differences between the two leagues, he admitted that he’s enjoying his new challenge in England so far. </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;">He added: “It’s definitely more physical than the German Bundesliga and there’s a high pace, but I think I’ve adjusted well and I’ve enjoyed playing against British teams – both with Schalke and the national team – so I think it suits me well. I’m enjoying it. </div><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></div><div><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">“I think momentum is really important. It keeps that positive spirit which is necessary to help you perform well. It’s a good streak that we have now and a good start to the season. It’s still a start though so we know that we have to work hard every week.”</span></span></div><div><a href="http://www.foxandcropclothing.co.uk" target="_blank"><img xlink:href="tcm:0-2367360" title="F&amp;C_SS15_StoryBanner" alt="F&amp;C_SS15_StoryBanner" style="width: 480px; height: 100px;" /></a><br /></div></div>
