Andy King and Tom Lawrence’s Wales qualified for a major tournament for the first time since 1958 by reaching the Euro 2016 Finals despite a 2-0 defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Following a quite simply superb qualification campaign that saw Chris Coleman’s men unbeaten in Group B heading into the clash, Wales knew a point in Zenica on Saturday evening would ultimately rubber-stamp their spot in France regardless of results elsewhere.

Unused substitutes King and Lawrence were looking to join fellow Leicester City team-mates Jamie Vardy, Gökhan Inler and Christian Fuchs at next year’s tournament – all three helped their nations to victory on Friday evening.

Goalless at the break against Bosnia, it was the hosts who broke the deadlock through Milan Djurić, before they doubled their lead through Vedad Ibisević, but Israel’s 2-1 defeat against Cyprus meant Wales guaranteed themselves a top two spot in Group B.

Beaten for the first time in their excellent qualification campaign, King and Lawrence’s nation could finish top of their group providing they better Belgium’s result when Wales entertain Andorra on Tuesday evening.

Meanwhile, Andrej Kramarić’s Croatia beat Bulgaria 3-0 in Maksimir to maintain their bid for Euro 2016 qualification.

The City frontman came on as a late substitute in the victory, which saw goals from Ivan Perišić, Ivan Rakitić and Nikola Kalinić secure the three points.

Croatia could book their spot in next summer’s tournament should they better second-placed Norway’s result on Tuesday evening when Kramarić’s nation take on Malta.

Three Foxes could be in action on Monday night as Fuchs’ Austria entertain Liechtenstein in Vienna, Inler’s Switzerland face Estonia in Tallinn and Vardy’s England take on Lithuania in Vilnius.
