Leicester City have announced their squad for next month’s HKFC Citibank Soccer Sevens tournament out in Hong Kong.

Composed mainly of players from the Club’s Development Squad, also included are several youth internationals, while members of the side that helped the Under-18s reach the FA Youth Cup Semi-Finals last term will also feature.

The Foxes are set to compete at the Soccer Sevens tournament – taking place on 20-22 May – for the fourth-consecutive year, having won it back in 2013.

Earlier this month, City were drawn in Group D against fellow Barclays Premier League outfit West Ham United, HKFA U21 and Singapore Cricket Club.

The full squad is as follows:

Daniel Iversen – Goalkeeper

A Denmark youth international, Daniel joined the Club from Esbjerg in January on a three-and-a-half year deal. He is a commanding shot-stopper has played a pivotal role for the Development Squad since the turn of the year.

Darnell Johnson – Defender

Godson of Emile Heskey, Darnell is a versatile defender that can operate at both right back and centre back. Another member of last season’s Under-18s side, his key characteristics are pace and power and will provide solidity in defence for the Foxes.

Elliott Moore – Defender

Central defender Elliott has impressed in his first full season with the Club’s Development Squad, having captain the Under-18s last term. The England youth international’s superb aerial ability and eye for a tackle will be of great value out in Hong Kong.

Matty Miles – Defender/Midfielder

After playing central midfield for the Club’s Under-18s last season, Matty has adapted well to his role at right back and right midfield for the Under-21s this term, and boasts the ability to deliver pin-point pass from any position.

Danny Rowe – Midfielder

Attacking midfielder Danny often plays in behind the striker and provides a significant threat going forward. Also able to operate out on the wing, Danny could play a key role for the Foxes at the Soccer Sevens tournament.

Hamza Choudhury – Midfielder

Tough-tackling midfielder Hamza has had a memorable season, having enjoyed a successful spell out on loan at high-flying League 1 outfit Burton Albion, as well as impressing for Steve Beaglehole’s Development Squad throughout the campaign.

Harvey Barnes – Midfielder

Harvey is another talented central midfielder within the City ranks and was also a member of the side that surged to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup last campaign. He has performed brilliantly this term for the Under-21s and is certain to add flair to the Leicester’s Hong Kong set up.

Kairo Mitchell – Forward

Striker Kairo has been in fine form for the Club’s Under-18s this season, most recently netting the winner in a 2-1 victory at Arsenal, while also performing well in number of games for the Development Squad.

Admiral Muskwe – Forward

Admiral hit the ground running for the Club’s Under-18s earlier in the season, netting successive hat-tricks against Reading and Southampton. The striker has moved up to the Development Squad since then and netted his first goal for them in the Premier League International Cup clash with Villarreal at King Power Stadium back in December.

Layton Ndukwu – Forward

Layton is an England youth international who provides attacking threat both from the wing and through the centre and alongside the rest of the squad, is set to make his debut at the HKFC Citibank Soccer Sevens tournament in May.
