Boss Backs Anti-Racism Campaign

City boss Nigel Pearson has become the latest manager to get behind the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.

The organisation aims to combat racism by promoting understanding and using football players and managers such as Darren Ferguson and Chris Hughton to help educate against racism.

City manager Pearson said: "I am delighted to become a patron of Show Racism the Red Card and offer my support to their work.

"Leicester City has supported the campaign since its inception and we look forward to continuing this work in the future."

Show Racism the Red Card Chief Executive Ged Grebby said of the campaign's latest supporter: "We are thrilled to have gained the support of Nigel Pearson as a patron of our organisation.

"The input from professional footballers, managers and other sporting role models in educating young people against racism is invaluable.

"Recent events have made it more important than ever for influential people such as Nigel to take a proactive role in educating young people about racism."

Show Racism the Red Card is a UK-based charity that was founded in 1996, and now provides training to more than 50,000 people every year.
