Draw A Fair Outcome, Says Taggart

After a goalless first half, the Baggies took the lead thanks to a fine free kick from Nacer Chadli, but in typical fashion, City fought back and levelled through Riyad Mahrez with just 10 minutes to play.

Taggart believes the way in which West Brom lined up made it difficult for the Foxes, but ultimately neither side created enough opportunities to warrant a victory.

“I suppose no team really deserved to win this game tonight and no team really deserved to lose it,” Taggart told LCFC Radio.

“In the first half, there was so little in it and it was so structured. It was a little bit painful to watch because of the way West Brom came and set up.

“The second half was a totally different game of football. There was a lot more aggression from both teams.

“Both teams were a lot more stretched in the second half, but in the end, you’ve got to credit Leicester for coming from a goal behind to salvage a point.

“In fairness, they were the team that looked like that were going to go on and win it, but it just wasn’t to be and I suppose you could say a draw was a fair result.”
