Maximum Points The Target, Says Albrighton

With two challenging away fixtures on the horizon, Marc Albrighton wants Leicester City to capitalise on their home advantage when Burnley visit King Power Stadium on Saturday.

After a superb win over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, City will be hoping to collect another three Premier League points, this time against Sean Dyche’s men.

The Foxes won 3-0 in this fixture last term, but Albrighton believes his side are faced with a much tougher task against the sixth-placed Clarets.

“We’ve got to go into it with confidence especially on the back of Tuesday’s result,” the winger told LCFC TV. “I’m sure Burnley will be expecting us to come out all guns blazing in the first 10 minutes, so we can’t disappoint them.

“We are full of confidence from Tuesday and we want to make sure that we work hard to get the maximum points.

“They’ve got some big results against the big sides in the league which is massive because the top sides this year really are top sides.

“They are playing very good football and they are getting results and scoring a lot of goals along the way and for Burnley, in sixth position, they fully deserve to be there. It is a credit to Sean Dyche as a manager and his team.”

While City earned plenty of plaudits for their performance against Tottenham, Albrighton says his side cannot dwell on their triumph given Burnley have won four of their previous five Premier League games.

He added: “It was massive in terms of the result – three massive points that lifted us into the top half of the table. I think the performance as well, especially first half, was an encouraging performance.

It will mean nothing if we can’t follow it up with a win at home to Burnley. Burnley are in a batch of teams that we feel we need to be picking up points against, especially at home.

“We started well and then we got the atmosphere bouncing in first half. Once that gets going, it’s always going to bode well for the rest of the game and see us through.

“They are doing so well this season and they deserve to be where they are they are playing some fantastic football they have got some fantastic results on the road and at home.

“It is going to be a very difficult game but we’re in good form and we are looking forward to it and feel confident that we can get maximum points.”
