Puel: We Face A Strong Defensive Team

- Claude Puel has praised Carlos Carvalhal for his positive impact at Swansea City
- Carvalhal guided his side to big wins over Arsenal and Liverpool in January
- Puel says the Foxes need to find a solution to halt Swansea’s effective counter attacks

The Swans visit King Power Stadium this weekend on the back of consecutive wins in the Premier League over Liverpool and Arsenal.

Like City, Puel believes the Welsh outfit are a significant threat on the break and while the Foxes have lost just once in their previous seven outings, his side face a tough task on Filbert Way.

“I think it’s great work,” said Puel of Carvalhal. “I saw their wins against Liverpool and Arsenal. It was impressive because they defend very well with a strong defensive unit.

“They stay with good organisation in front of their box and they wait for a mistake from the opponent to make a good counter attack. It’s a tough game to prepare for and to find a solution against this team.

“After the recovery, they try to play and to start with the good football. It’s a good job and good work form the manager for these players.

“We need to have a good concentration about this team. It’s not a surprise that they’ve won against great teams.”

Puel has called on the Blue Army to once again create a magnificent atmosphere to spur the Club’s stars on from the stand.

He added: “I hope all of our fans are ready also to give fantastic support. I’m sure they will create a good atmosphere for this game on Saturday.

“We need their support because it will be a tough game against a good team with confidence and a lot of quality.

“It’s a difficult team to play in this moment and we have to find a solution to prevent their good counter attacks. It’s a great job for us tomorrow.”
