Against Swansea last time out, the Foxes deservedly went ahead early on in the first half at King Power Stadium thanks to Jamie Vardy’s 12th Premier League strike of the campaign.

Wilfred Ndidi then had a goal disallowed and while City continued to press, the Swans drew level through Federico Fernandez shortly after the interval.

Fuchs told LCFC TV after that fixture: “Obviously, we’re disappointed. I think after the first half, we have to be two or three goals up but that didn’t happen.

“The second goal was offside before [Wilfred] Ndidi got the ball, so it’s kind of disappointing but it’s what we have to live with now.

We Deserved To Win, Says Fuchs

Christian Fuchs feels Leicester City were unfortunate not to beat Swansea City on Saturday.

“I think us winning would have been a fair result given the effort that we put into the game in the first half.

“They were sitting back and defending deep with every man they had on the pitch. Again, it’s disappointing, but we’ll take the point.”

Kelechi Iheanacho also came close to finding the back of the net and while the striker continues his search for a maiden Premier League goal for the Foxes, he will no doubt be eager to face former side Manchester City next time out, according to Fuchs.

Fuchs added: “I don’t know – it was a great save from the defender. I have no explanation for that. He’s usually great at finishing. I think in his mind he was already celebrating!

“But he’s going to get his chance. He played great when he’s on the field, so I’m looking forward to the next game.

“I think especially for Kelechi it would be great to start scoring there (Etihad Stadium) in the Premier League. It’s another great fixture.

“They drew today (Saturday) so they also want to get back to winning ways. We’re definitely not just going there to be sparring partners, we want to go there to get something out of it.”
