- Leicester City Football Club is to show its support for Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign against Watford on Saturday 1 December
- The campaign forms part of a three-year partnership between the Premier League and the UK’s leading charity for LGBT equality
- The Rainbow Laces campaign is also being supported by the LCFC Community Trust

The campaign forms part of a three-year partnership between the Premier League and the UK’s leading charity for LGBT equality, Stonewall, with the aim of showing that football is for everyone and encouraging the gay, lesbian, bi and trans community to get involved at all levels of sport.

The fixture will see a host of rainbow-themed activations, with rainbow laces available to all players and rainbow armbands for team captains. There will also be a bespoke Rainbow Laces pitch flag, rainbow-coloured ball plinths and substitution boards.

Pitchside LED boards and programme advertising will also support the initiative, while Leicester City will also display its support through its social media presence leading up to the game.

Support for Rainbow Laces extends to the LCFC Community Trust, whose matchday staff will be wearing the laces, along with players from the Girls’ Regional Talent Club and the Kicks Nirvana grassroots team.

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan said: “Football is for everybody and is vital that we use this platform to promote inclusion. Diversity in sport is important and I hope that Leicester City’s involvement helps to spread a positive message.”

Premier League Executive Director Bill Bush said: "Stonewall is an excellent partner for us and we value their ongoing work to support the League and our clubs in promoting diversity across the sport.

“Our clubs do fantastic work in this area to reinforce the message that football is for everyone. We are proud to be playing our part and to use our reach to celebrate the Rainbow Laces campaign.”

The Rainbow Laces campaign has inspired millions of people to feel more positive about LGBT inclusion in sport, and as a result, feel more confident to challenge anti-LGBT language.

Like Stonewall and the Premier League, Leicester City are committed to making football a game for everybody and do not tolerate homophobic or discriminatory language.

If you hear any such language at King Power Stadium during a match, please contact a steward or report it by text message to 60066 (start your message with the word FOXES).

On non-matchdays, please email  lcfchelp@lcfc.co.uk or call 0344 815 5000 (Option 4).
