Leicester City Visit DHL's New York Hub In Fourth Year Of Official Partnership

- Foxes legends Steve Walsh and Matt Elliott, as well as Filbert Fox, shared breakfast with staff and provided free gifts
- The Club’s visit to DHL follows Thursday’s Premier League Primary Stars session in Brooklyn
As one of the fastest-growing football brands around the globe, Leicester City enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the world’s leading brands.
To further strengthen those ties, the Football Club has previously visited DHL hubs in Hong Kong, Bangkok and Tokyo – a list which now includes New York City.
With Foxes legends Matt Elliott and Steve Walsh on hand, representatives of the Club’s Commercial and Supporter Engagement teams joined staff for breakfast on Friday.
During the day, Elliott and Walsh, with the help of Filbert Fox, enjoyed laid-back football-based activities with the DHL team, while also giving out USA-themed gifts, including pin badges and scarves.
Reflecting on another enjoyable day in NYC, Harj Hir, Leicester City’s Head of Partnerships, said: “It was great to meet DHL’s staff in New York and to see the uniformity across the company.
“One thing that comes across loud and clear with DHL is just how enthusiastic their staff are. Their day starts at nine o’clock, but they’ve come in early to have breakfast with us before they go out on the road delivering parcels, some of which may even have come from Leicester.
“Our partnership started four years ago and continues to go from strength to strength with visits like this building on the already-strong ties between the Club and DHL.”
DHL, whose association with Leicester City began in 2014 following the Club’s promotion to the Premier League, is present in over 220 countries and territories with a workforce exceeding 350,000 employees, providing solutions for various logistical needs.
Over the past four years, DHL have provided essential logistical support to the Football Club, especially during Leicester City’s maiden UEFA Champions League campaign in 2016/17.
Earlier this year, meanwhile, Leicester City and DHL scooped an awards double at the UK Sponsorship Awards 2018, held at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square.
