The Foxes were defeated by the Saints at King Power Stadium in frustrating circumstances, with Shane Long adding to James Ward-Prowse's opener following Yab Valery's first half dismissal.

Going into the break two goals down, City struggled to break Southampton down and, despite Wilfred Ndidi’s close-range finish in the 58th minute, they ultimately ran out of time.

As Claude Puel’s men prepare to tackle Wolves at Molinuex Stadium on Saturday, Choudhury has described the encounter as an opportunity for the visitors to return to form.

“We’re obviously very disappointed and frustrated, but we’re got another chance to put it right, that’s the best thing about football,” Choudhury, 21, said this week.

Choudhury Expects Tricky Molineux Test

Leicester City Academy graduate Hamza Choudhury speaks ahead of the Foxes' trip to Wolves in the Premier League.

“We didn’t get the result we wanted, [against Southampton] but we’ve got another game against Wolves this weekend and hopefully we can put it right.

“We expect the fans to be disappointed and we understand to be honest. We're just as disappointed as them.

“I think we’ve got a chance to put it right this weekend and hopefully send the fans home happy with three points.

“I think in this league every game is a tough game, I don’t think many teams go into games thinking they can outright win it before the game’s even started.

“We obviously understand that we’ve got to do better and we are in the top half of the league so we should be getting better results against teams that are lower.

Training Special: Wolverhampton Wanderers

The Foxes continued their preparations for Saturday's trip to Wolves with another training session at Belvoir Drive on Thursday.

“I think it’s a difficult league, Southampton are obviously fighting for survival and those games are sometimes trickier than the ones at the top.”

Choudhury is also looking forward to testing himself against Nuno Espírito Santo’s men, who are three places below the eighth-placed Foxes in the Premier League standings.

He continued: “Like I say, every game is different. Wolves are a very good side. As you’ve seen, they’ve come up and held their own if anything, but I think we go there expecting a tricky game.

“Molineux is a great atmosphere and the boys are just looking forward to going and putting things right from last week.

“Depending on how the game starts and how it plays out, we’ll adjust and play to that, obviously being away from home.

“I think both teams have their strong points and ours and theirs are on the counter-attack, so hopefully we’ll have the upper hand.”
