- Leicester City's Ahmed Musa becomes the first Foxes player to score at a FIFA World Cup finals
- The 25-year-old netted both goals in Nigeria's 2-0 victory over Iceland on Friday
- Musa is now his country's all-time top goal-scorer at World Cup finals with four strikes
- It was the first time in World Cup history that more than one Fox started for the same team

During a match which carried significant ramifications in Group D, Musa latched onto a Victor Moses pass before performing a deft flick and volleying it beyond Hannes Þór Halldórsson.

The 25-year-old, who also hit the bar, added to that 49th minute effort with a close-range strike 14 minutes from the end, making him Nigeria's top scorer in World Cup finals, following two in 2014.

Gylfi Sigurðsson missed the opportunity to narrow the arrears for Iceland in the 82nd minute, blazing a penalty over Deportivo de La Coruña goalkeeper Francis Uzoho's crossbar.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi join the celebrations after Musa's second of the match.

With Musa being joined by Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho in the Super Eagles' starting XI, it was also the first time that three City players have started for one team in the competition.

Following their 2-0 defeat by Croatia last week, Nigeria's chances of joining Group D leaders Croatia in the Round of 16 have been improved dramatically, but Argentina and Iceland remain in contention.

After the second round of fixtures, Croatia top the group with six points, Nigeria sit second with three, while Iceland, on one point, are above Argentina on goal difference.

Nigeria's Foxes trio could all be in action again during a huge clash with Argentina in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday (7pm BST kick-off).

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Yohan Benalouane, could make his World Cup debut for Tunisia when they face Belgium, who top Group G on goal difference, in Moscow (1pm BST kick-off).
