A total of 18 Leicester City stars have been called up for action in the second international break of the 2018/19 campaign.

- Eighteen Leicester City players are set to represent their countries over the coming fortnight
- James Maddison could make his senior England debut in the UEFA Nations League
- Harvey Barnes has been called up by England's Under-21s for the first time
- Regular updates from the Foxes contingent will be posted on LCFC.com over the next two weeks

Following an impressive start to life at King Power Stadium, James Maddison will join Foxes team-mate Harry Maguire among the England camp for UEFA Nations League ties against Croatia and Spain.

The Three Lions travel to Stadion HNK Rijeka to tackle their 2018 FIFA World Cup opponents Croatia on Friday (7:45pm BST kick-off) before heading to Benito Villamarin Stadium, Spain on Monday (7:45pm BST kick-off).

Ben Chilwell was also added to the senior squad on Monday evening. Gareth Southgate's side suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat by Luis Enrique's Spanish at Wembley last month, meaning positive results are crucial to their chances of emerging from Group A4 in the European competition's inaugural season.

Elsewhere, Harvey Barnes - for the first time - has been named in Aidy Boothroyd's Under-21s squad for a UEFA EURO U21s qualifier against Andorra, at Chesterfield's Saltergate Stadium, before heading to Tynecastle to tackle Scotland.

Schmeichel's Denmark were promoted to League A in the Nations League.

Barnes, 20, has been in wonderful form on loan at West Bromwich Albion this season, scoring five goals in 12 appearances. The Young Lions host Andorra in a 7:45pm BST kick-off on Thursday, before Tuesday's 5:30pm BST clash in Edinburgh.

Nigeria duo Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Ịheanachọ will also link-up once again for international duty as Gernot Rohr's men prepare for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

The Super Eagles, who are currently third in Group E, following one victory and a loss, will tackle first-placed Libya on on Friday evening in a 5:30pm BST kick-off.

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, on the other hand, will be in action for Denmark in a Nations League tie against at the Republic of Ireland on Saturday (7:45pm BST kick-off) before a home friendly versus Austria on Tuesday (7:45pm BST kick-off).

A 19th cap is on the cards for Turkish defender Söyüncü.

Schmeichel, who has 40 caps for his country, starred as Denmark defeated Wales 2-0 in Aarhus last month to send them top of the early B4 group standings.

City will also have three representatives in Ryan Giggs' latest Wales squad with Danny Ward, Andy King and youngster George Thomas, on loan at Sky Bet League 1 side Scunthorpe United, selected for a Nations League trip to Aviva Stadium, Dublin.

Giggs' men will hope for a repeat performance following last month's 4-1 triumph over Martin O'Neill's men in Cardiff, but it is Denmark who head the standings courtesy of their stronger head-to-head record.

The Nations League representation continues with Çağlar Söyüncü (Turkey) and Jonny Evans (Northern Ireland). Following Thursday's friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina (6:30pm BST kick-off), Söyüncü's Turkey tackle Russia in Sochi in Group B2 (5pm BST kick-off).

Defensive colleague Evans, meanwhile, face a B3 double-header with Friday's trip to Austria preceding an away tie at Bosnia & Herzegovina's Stadion Grbavica (7:45pm BST kick-off).

Rachid Ghezzal (Algeria) and Daniel Amartey (Ghana) could also be in action for AFCON qualifying encounters with Benin (8:30pm BST kick-off) and Sierra Leone (5pm BST kick-off) respectively.

Finally, Filip Benković (Croatia U21s), Alex Pascanu (Romania U21s), Daniel Iversen (Denmark U21s) and Viktor Johansson (Sweden U20s) are all in line for international youth team action over the coming two weeks.

As usual, you can follow regular updates on the Club's international contingent on LCFC.com.
